Daniel Becker, Attorney at Law, PLLC. is the law practice of Daniel Becker:
Mr. Becker’s qualifications:
Juris Doctor, Wake Forest University, 2009; Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude, Mechanical Engineering, North Carolina State University, 2005. He is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar, a member of the 10th district of NC, and is a USPTO-registered Patent Attorney.
He presently is Co-Chair of the Patent Law Committee of the North Carolina Bar Association, Intellectual Property Section. Dan is also an Engineer-in-Training by the North Carolina Board of Engineers and Surveyors.
Dan is a dyed-in-the-wool “car guy,” geeky-widget enthusiast, and self-identified “maker.” He enjoys CAD modeling and 3d printing, and has spent so much time in those realms that he has happily added those services to inventors in addition to his legal services.
He enjoys solo practice for its more personal interaction with a greater variety of personalities, as well as its mobility to work wherever it is convenient, facilitating representing clients on state law contexts in a wide range of locations throughout North Carolina away from his home city of Raleigh. The federally-reserved nature of patent law also allows for representing clients located anywhere in the country, in that limited context of USPTO-representation and -correspondence matters.
Dan frequently appears at incubators and co-working spaces, such as the Frontier, Raleigh Makerspace, and Raleigh Do-all. He has participated in MakerFaire and Triangle Startup Weekend events at HQ Raleigh, American Underground, and James Hunt library at NCSU, and regularly attends entrepreneurial-events, fostering tech startups, such as 1 million cups, TechBreakfast, CED TechVenture, and . He has appeared for seminars and office hours to student-organizations, small business centers, and organizations of the North Carolina Business Incubator system. Some of these organizations are: the North Carolina State University Technology Business Incubator on Centennial Campus, Central Carolina Community College, CCCC-SBC, Alamance Community College, Durham Technical Community College, the NCSU Student Garage, and Wake Robotics.
Daniel Becker, Attorney at Law, PLLC. is an approved-counsel provider of intellectual property services for the North Carolina University System. Dan is also a member of CED, and has provided patent counsel and is an NC FIRST Robotics Volunteer Mentor to The Forge Initiative.
