What are the golden rules of being a lawyer?

Maybe you mean: What are the critical things for Lawyers to uphold, to be good lawyers. Which I may presume means… what is professionally responsible.

Lawyers have three general duties:

  • zealotry (pursuing the alternatives and best strategies to carrying out obligations and services in the best interests of the client)
  • loyalty ( putting the client’s interests above others, and oneself)
  • candor (dealing fairly and honestly with the public, government, the courts, and other third parties)

how’s that? Did you mean something different?
